In June, Lisbon hosts an unprecedented exhibition dedicated to street art

Celebrating the works of 18 Portuguese and foreign artists

Lisbon Art

Cordoaria Nacional, in Lisbon, will host this year an exhibition that celebrates street art, from graffiti to urban art – works by 18 Portuguese and foreign artists.

Shepard Fairey, André Saraiva, Vhils, Felipe Pantone, Jason Revok, Add Fuel, Wasted Rita, Tamara Alves and Nuno Viegas are some of the 18 artists in the “Urban [R]Evolution” exhibition, which will be open from June 21st to September 3rd. The artists will create the works ‘in situ’, to give the visitor “an immersive experience” in the work of each artist, explained Pauline Foessel, co-founder of Underdogs and co-curator of the exhibition. The backbone of the show will be the work of American photographer Martha Cooper. The images captured since the 1970s in New York will be the key to understanding the evolution of the movement worldwide.
