Following a successful introduction to the UK market in 2023, Australian favourite, Elephant In The Room from Fourth Wave Wine is delighted to announce a range expansion at Waitrose and the introduction of Voluminous Viognier 2024.

Known for its proudly large in scale and expansive in flavour wines, Elephant In The Room ignores fashion and braves the scorn “wine thought police” focusing on giving consumers exactly what they want – full-bodied and mouth-filling wines that deliver maximum pleasure. Each wine is sourced from slow-ripening cool climate vineyards from the Limestone coast and regions of Victoria and is partially matured in French Oak before final blending and bottling by Corey Ryan.

Elephant In The Room’s mouth-filling Voluminous Viognier is one to talk about. Rich, subtle spice with notes of peach and jasmine. Floral aromatics and a hint of vanilla, a perfect combination delivering a rounded, smooth finish. This wine pairs perfectly with a roast chicken or baked salmon.

Winemaker: Corey Ryan
Alcohol: 12.5%

Winemaking: Partially hand harvested before de-stemming primarily in closed fermenters with pump overs with a portion of open fermenters., All components blended post-fermentation before two-thirds were matured in stainless steel and one-third was matured in French oak for nine months before bottling with minimal fining, filtration and sulphur addition.

Vintage 2024: The Murray Darling had better-than-average winter/spring rainfall and a dry harvest with only one rain event in March. Yields were a bit below average, but of very good overall quality; chardonnay and shiraz were the standouts
