Peter Morrell editor comments ‘I love Crémant de Loire, it’s made using the Méthode Traditionnelle, the same as Champagne. The De Chanceny Crémant de Loire Brut is matured in tuffeau cellars carved out from the soft, chalky limestone that is the rock lining the Loire Valley. This aging allows the wine to gently evolve its delicacy. This elegant sparkling white is a blend of Chenin blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet franc grape which each bring their own fresh characters, from aromatic to fruity, to the wine.

‘On opening the small, fast-moving bubbles create a delicate mousse on the surface of the wine. The nose is bright with citrus, floral and crunchy green apple aromas. In the mouth there is an acidic freshness with apple, pear and apricot flavours combined with notes of yeasty brioche and good minerality. The finish is bright with lingering tones of apple and citrus. This wine is ideal as an aperitif and can also be paired with seafood and salads.‘

Hand harvested from exceptional English vineyards in Kent from the award winning Balfour winery.
