The four day festival returns for a second time and will feature international, regional and local artists
MDLBEAST SOUNDSTORM will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from December 16-19, 2021. It’s the region’s biggest and loudest music festival and will feature over 150 acts including global superstar headliners, international dance acts and local and regional performers.
The inaugural festival, also known as MDLBEAST Festival, took place in December 2019 and launched Saudi Arabia onto the international festival scene, with over 400,000 attendees, 80 artists, and 6 stages. It was the biggest music festival ever in the region. There were performances by world renowned artists such as David Guetta, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, J Balvin, and Rick Ross, and local and regional DJs among them COSMICAT, Dish Dash, Don Edwardo. After a year off because of the Covid pandemic, this year’s edition is going to be bigger and better.
Electrifying the revellers, at what is one of the region’s most unique entertainment experiences, will be international artists Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Deadmau5, DJ Snake, Eric Prydz, Martin Garrix, Paul Kalkbrenner, Tiësto, and Steve Aoki, in addition to Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Carl Cox, Charlotte de Witte, Jeff Mills, Nina Kraviz, Sven Väth as well as home grown regional artists including Anmarz, Cosmicat, Spaceboi, and Zone+ with many more announced in the countdown to the festival.

In the days before the festival, there’s XP – a three-day music event with a conference and night events, created to accelerate the music industry across the Middle East. Programming for XP will come under four pillars: empower and develop talent, map out opportunities to develop the region’s music scene, develop a strong and sustainable music ecosystem through policymakers and initiate dialogue around social impact, music mental health and diversity of thought and representation.
Through workshops, panel discussions and roundtables, networking opportunities, and music activations, XP will expand opportunities for global and regional music industry professionals of all backgrounds including artists, entrepreneurs, creatives, and policymakers as they come together in building the future for the region’s music industry. This will be the most forward-thinking gathering of music leaders in the region.

Day passes are available as well as four-day passes with four tiers to choose from: Storm Chaser; Storm Blazer; VIB and VIB-BOX. The most basic festival package for SAR 135 (£26.76 approx) is a one day pass with a shuttle service from select locations in Riyadh.
