In true Andalusian style, an authentic taste of Spain is coming to London this May, as The Sherry Tour of London takes over the capital for one month only
As the feria festivals take place in Spain, London will host its very own seasonal celebrations, as bars and restaurants across the city honour Sherry wines and showcase their versatility with the capital’s biggest celebration of the Spanish drink yet!
Running for the whole of the month, there are already over 45 bars and restaurants signed up to the city-wide event. With London’s finest Spanish establishments taking part, the godfather of Spanish food, José Pizarro, will be offering a new dish and a month-long cocktail special. Brindisa will not only have a Sherry pairing special, but they’ll also be hosting Andalusian supper clubs and Barrafina will list a Fino Sherry and food pairing on their Specials menu. Aqua Nueva are creating two new Sherry cocktails, whilst The Tapas Room will showcase a tapas and Sherry tasting menu, Sherry wine flights and more across their different sites. The creativity of the hospitality industry will be on full show, with the list of amazing restaurants and bars taking part stretching right across the city, with Camino, Ibérica, BiBo Shoreditch, Ember Yard, Opera Tavern, Dehesa, Salt Yard, Callooh Callay Chelsea, Cinnamon Club, La Vina, Llerena, Hispania, Escocesca, Bar Esteban, Tapas Revolution, Bar Pepito, La Farola, Barsito, El Pirata and Meson Don Felipe all raising glasses of Manzanilla, Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and more across London. These incredible experiences will show consumers how they can enjoy Sherry, from those in the know.
From the clean and lively flavours of Fino, to the luscious fruity notes of Cream, Sherry is the perfect accompaniment to the brightness of Spring! Consumers should keep eye out for further announcements as more will be revealed in the run up to May. Londoners can also look forward to the launch of a fantastic map of the sites taking part, so they will be able to plan their own tours around the city.
