Champagne Pommery’s first English Sparkling Wine wins big

Louis Pommery England has had a sparkling month, rounding off the year with big award wins. Receiving a Gold Medal, 95pts and Best Sparkling Wine 2022 in the International Wine & Spirit Competition in Hong Kong was a very proud moment for the brand and its wine makers. In the 23rd Franco-British Awards, the French Chamber Great Britain awarded Louis Pommery England with the Collaboration Award, another huge achievement.

The Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition has been the guide to quality international wines and spirits for the booming Asian market. Sister competition to the London-based IWSC, it is led by renowned experts in the global drinks industry: Debra Meiburg MW, Asia’s first Master of Wine, and Wine Consultant for Cathay Pacific Airways and Cathay Dragon and The Conversion Group. Judges comprise Asia’s top industry experts – including Masters of Wine and Master Sommelier, VIP International wine and spirit judges, leading F&B professionals, wine educators, importers, critics and journalists. The 56 fully experienced and qualified industry judges gathered in Hong Kong to determine the finest global drinks for the burgeoning Asian market.

The Franco-British Business Awards celebrate the tenacity of businesses delivering growth and innovation during a year of ongoing challenges. Now in their 23rd year, the awards recognise French and British companies going above and beyond to support people and communities, build inclusive and diverse workforces, make progress on climate action, and nurture the Franco-British relationship.

Louis Pommery England has characters of green apple, fresh lemon and lime, and honeyed stone fruits with well-integrated bubbles and a delightful mineral finish.
