Celebrate Mardi Gras with Louie London

If you can’t make it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras this year, Louie is throwing a celebration on Tuesday 21st February full of NOLA spirit

Louie

The West Street townhouse which draws on its New Orleanian roots, will host a travelling jazz band in their newly launched bar – The Alligator Bar – whilst the first and second floor restaurant will serve southern favourites, including seafood gumbo, BBQ lobster and a spiced pecan pie to finish.

Louie is a culinary adventure starting in New Orleans, and roving around the globe to the Sorbonne in Paris, before settling back in Louisiana. It’s got an American heart, a French palate, and a New Orleans soul. The menu – which has been carefully curated by head chef Slade Rushing – serves up a mix of all the city’s rich heritage and fresh produce.

First opened in September 2020 and occupying the former L’atelier de Joël Robuchon site on 15 West Street in the heart of Covent Garden, Louie is the first London opening of Laurent de Gourcuff’s of the famed French restaurant group, Paris Society.

The 75-cover restaurant sits across both the ground and first floor of an impressive Georgian town house, each floor offering a distinct feel with carefully selected décor. Unsurprisingly music is at the core of Louie. After dinner, guests can move to the third into the open lounge and 80-seat bar where live jazz piano and DJ sets run late into the night and guests spill onto the terrace overlooking the London skyline.
