An Exclusive Rhône Valley Wine Dinner Inviting Guests to Sample Exquisite Cuisine and Fine Wines on 24th March 2022

Five-star hotel The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa, Bath is hosting an exclusive Rhône Valley themed Wine Dinner next month, to allow guests to sample exclusive wines (which are not readily available in the UK) from the famous French region.

Taking place Thursday 24th March at 6:30pm at the award-winning hotel, the event will be hosted by Head Sommelier Jean-Marc, award-winning Head Chef Martin Blake, and Mr. Guillaume Lafragette – the brand ambassador for Michel Chapoutier wines, one of the top wine-makers in The Rhône Valley.

Food and wine enthusiasts will experience four perfectly-paired, exquisite fine dining courses and wines, in addition to a range of delicious canapés and an exquisite sparkling wine from Michel Chapoutier to start.

Key dishes will include scallops beurre blanc, lamb fillet with roasted sweetbread, and a mango and passionfruit dessert, all of which will be created using locally-sourced produce and suppliers in line with the hotel’s on-going commitment to sustainability. Martin sources as much of his produce as possible locally, including the herbs he picks from the hotel’s acre of gardens, helping to minimise food miles whilst also ensuring ultra-fresh ingredients.

Each course will be paired with M.Chapoutier wines selected personally by Guillaume Lafragette. From the effervescent Esteban sparkling wine served with canapés to La Bernadine Rouge Châteauneuf-du-Pape to accompany the cheese course.

The Dower House Restaurant is due to undergo a major refurbishment programme this year, anticipated to be completed summer 2022. Upon completion, guests will be invited to experience stylish new interiors and sample a new fine-dining, farm-to-fork menu, while looking out over the hotel’s pristine gardens.
