The UK weather has decided to go Greek, so let’s do the same with our dinner
Grilled, baked, fried, crumbled or drizzled in honey, Odysea has a range of authentic Greek cheeses that are perfect for eating in the heatwave.
Feta – Odysea offer a range of fetas. With Sheep and Goat’s Milk Feta, Organic Feta, 100% Sheep’s Milk Feta, Feta Cubes and a Creamy Feta and Yoghurt Spread, you’re spoilt for choice on ways to enjoy this tangy, creamy cheese.
Halloumi – Grilled, fried or charred on the BBQ, Odysea’s Halloumi is made in Alambra in Nicosia, Cyprus. Choose from Odysea Halloumi, made using a mixture of cows, sheep and goat’s milk, or Sheep and Goat’s Milk for a richer flavour and more elastic, dense texture. Both are hand folded in the traditional way and perfect for your grill.
Manouri – Mild and creamy with a buttery flavour, Manouri is a by-product of producing feta, and works fantastically in both sweet and savoury dishes. It’s delicious grilled or fried with fruit or vegetables and can be used in cheesecakes to add richness in place of cream cheese.
Saganaki (Kefalotyri) – An authentic Greek frying cheese that’s typically cooked in a small pan called a Saganaki, Odysea has selected Kefalotyri as its Saganaki cheese. It’s a hard, salty cheese with a slightly piquant aftertaste. Kefalotyri cheese is an ideal choice for frying thanks to its high melting point – when fried, the outside will become crisp while the inside remains soft.
