This refreshing sparkling wine is produced in the traditional method by the award winning Balfour Winery. They hand harvested Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes to make a dry, crisp wine with apple and citrus flavours balanced by delicate brioche notes. Perfect for celebrations; serve chilled as an aperitif or with canapés.

This refreshing pink sparkling wine is produced in the traditional method by the award winning Balfour Winery. They hand harvest Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier grapes to make a beautifully pale coral coloured wine, with wild strawberry and citrus flavours, balanced with a vibrant acidity. Perfect for celebrations or try it with charcuterie or vegetarian lasagne.

Graham Beck Vintner’s Selection Brut – £13

Peter Morrell, Editor comments “I have know the well respected Graham Beck for several years. They use the Methode Cap Classique process to produce sparkling wines, it’s the same as Champagne production. The wine is made with the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. It pours a straw colour, and there is an abundance of bubbles that create a creamy mousse.

“The bouquet has pear and citrus aromas with hints of yeasty brioche. On the palate the wine has crisp apple notes with lime and nutty tones. The finish is bright and refreshing.

“Drink it as an aperitif or match with shellfish and summer salads.”

Wine of Western Cape, South Africa – 75CL

Tesco Finest South African Chenin Blanc – £7.50

Made by the family owned Stellenrust winery from Chenin Blanc grapes grown in South Africa’s iconic Stellenbosch region. Aromas of apricots, honey and apple are followed by complex but elegant flavours of ripe pear with subtle hints of vanilla oak. Best served lightly chilled with seafood, creamy chicken or mildly spiced dishes.

Tesco Finest Brooks Road Margaret River Chardonnay – £15

Made from premium Chardonnay grapes grown in Margaret River, one of Australia’s most celebrated wine regions. Dry with complex notes of stone fruits and vanilla oak with an elegant minerality and a classic, balanced lengthy finish. Serve lightly chilled with fresh seafood, pasta or grilled fish.

Wairau Cove is created by master winemakers from the magnificent vineyards of New Zealand’s East Coast a perfect natural climate to make great tasting wine. Tesco Finest South African Shiraz – £7.50

Made from grapes grown on traditional bush vines in South Africa’s up and coming Swartland region. Full bodied with flavours of blackberry, dark cherry and plum, punctuated with spice and pepper notes and a rich, juicy finish. Enjoy with barbecued sausages, peppered steak or hearty stews. Drinking well now but if stored correctly this wine will age nicely for up to 3 years.

Tesco Finest Central Otago Pinot Noir – £13

A classic example of a subtle and smooth Pinot Noir from the experts at Villa Maria. Sourced from the mountainous Central Otago region, this wine has an elegant concentration of juicy red fruit aromas and a long, velvet smooth finish.

Brown Brothers Orange Muscat & Flora – £8.50

Part winemakers and part explorers, John Graham Brown and his brothers travelled the globe- armed with a heady vision and pioneering spirit- to find new and exciting grape varieties not yet planted in Australia. Upon the Brown Brothers return, the ‘Kindergarten Winery’ was born; a winemakers playground created to push boundaries and create new wine styles. A place where ideas thrive and innovation resides. The late harvested Orange Muscat fruit is judiciously blended with the very rare Flora grape to create a sweet yet rich and beautifully balanced wine. Explore with fresh berry tarts or soft blue cheese.
